South of South again served as the location of a robbery Sunday morning.
A female had an unknown man approach her from behind on the 1000 block of South 18th Street at 2 a.m., with the offender stealing her purse, which contained credit cards, keys, identification and $140, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.
The uninjured figure observed the male racing away northbound along the same block. She described him as black, 25 to 35 years old and 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10; having a thin build and wearing a dark hoodie.
