Banking on an arrest

On Friday, the FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department released the image of a man sought for a trio of bank robberies committed last month. His most recent heist occurred Dec. 22 when he entered Prudential Savings Bank, 1722 S. Broad St., and handed the teller a note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot.

The incident mirrors the suspect’s other crimes committed Dec. 18 at a Chestnut Hill Valley Green Bank and Dec. 15 at a Center City PNC Bank. Authorities are also seeking him for a Dec. 11 attempted robbery at a Center City Beneficial Bank.

Authorities noted the public should consider the individual armed and dangerous.

To report information, call the FBI at 215-418-4000, text PPDTIP (773847) or visit phillypolice.com/forms. The department noted it might give a reward for information leading to his arrest.
