The daughter of a Philadelphia police officer became the victim of two carjackers Tuesday morning.

Just after midnight, the complainant was parking her car near Front and Morris streets when teenagers on bikes demanded her cash and keys. Obtaining the items, they sped off to Southwest Philly, with authorities initially spotting them at 77th Street and Essington Avenue. A second sighting occurred at 56th Street and Springfield Avenue, with officers not giving chase when the adolescents fled, citing that they were running red lights, Lt. John Walker, of Southwest Detectives Division, said, at a dangerous speed.

The offenders escaped on foot, leaving behind two guns, after the vehicle slammed into eight automobiles at 48th Street and Springfield Avenue.
