Following a two-year hiatus, the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District recently announced the return of the 15th annual Car Show and Street Festival, which is set to take place on Sunday, July 31, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hosted in partnership with the Northeast Muscle Car Club, the event will feature almost 200 muscle, classic, antique and show cars, trucks and motorcycles lined up and down East Passyunk Avenue. There will also be a wide range of vendors, sidewalk sales, live music and other family activities.
“South Philly’s largest summer street festival is back and sure to showcase an eclectic range of cars, trucks and motorcycles along with East Passyunk’s amazing food and drink offerings,” said Adam Leiter, the executive director of EPABID, in a press release. “We’re welcoming visitors from around the region to come admire the cars, enjoy live music, and get a taste of the Avenue’s food and shopping scene.”
Numerous restaurants on East Passyunk will be working on special hours while offering festive foods and drinks throughout the day. Participating establishments include:

Live entertainment will be provided by Brown Sugar, Philadelphia School of Rock, Elegance Quartet, Country Rogue and many others at locations including Singing Fountain, outside of Stogie Joe’s and Pistola’s Del Sur, Mifflin Triangle and City Fitness.
In addition, Nice Things Handmade will be curating a selection of handmade items from local artists and crafters such as art, decor, ceramics, jewelry, wares and gifts at Singing Fountain. Dozens of businesses on East Passyunk will also be setting up booths and racks outside of their locations for shopping.
