Shootings in Queen Village and Lower Moyamensing

Two shootings occurred in South Philly 10 minutes apart in the Queen Village and Lower Moyamensing neighborhoods on July 24.

Two men were shot on the 1000 block of S. 4th Street at approximately 2:57 p.m. According to police, a 35-year-old man was shot 10 times throughout his body shortly before 3 p.m. and was taken to University of Pennsylvania Hospital where he was in critical condition. A 24-year-old man was also shot once in the right side and was taken to Methodist Hospital where he was in stable condition.

At 3:07 p.m., a 24-year-old suffered a gunshot wound on the 1200 block of Jackson Street. Police said the victim was shot once in the right abdomen but was able to walk himself to Methodist Hospital. He was later transported to Jefferson Hospital and was listed in stable condition.
