Last week, Elias Diaz was formally charged with three more sexual assaults, two in Fairmount Park in 2003 and one in Pennypack Park in 2007. Diaz’s charges have been upgraded to include Rape, Attempted Rape, Kidnapping, Attempted Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault.
It was on Dec. 17 when the Philadelphia Police Department apprehended Diaz, 46, in connection with a series of assaults with a knife on the Pennypack Park Trail.
On Dec. 20, he was charged with the 2003 rape and murder of Rebecca Park in Fairmount Park.
