A serial bank robber is believed to be responsible for another area heist.

An unknown man strolled inside Sovereign Bank, 2701 S. 10th St., at noon July 27 and handed the teller a note with “follow instructions — give all loose 100s and 50s. No dye pack or I will shoot” written on it, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The man fled south on 10th with $5,400.

The FBI believes the man to be John Digman, 48, of Kensington, FBI spokesman J.J. Klaver said. Digman was indicted for four bank robberies and is suspected of committing four more that include Sovereign and a July 22 heist at Prudential Savings Bank, 238 Moore St.

Bensalem Police arrested Digman in Bucks County where he was staying in a motel July 31, Klaver said.
