Da Vinci Art Alliance at 704 Catharine St. will host Inside Out, Upside Down and Sideways, a winter member exhibition from Feb. 1-18.
The deep satisfaction of creating something just for the sake of it is on display in this member-curated exhibition of member-created work. Inside Out, Upside Down and Sideways focuses on experimentation and play, and the creative process.
In these works, DVAA artists have explored texture and layering, combining materials and interweaving ideas. Unexpected colors, materials and surfaces co-mingle such that seemingly disconnected thoughts have been joined. The viewer can feel the sense of joy emanating from the artists’ visceral experience of making something from nothing, their exploring visual ideas without boundaries.
The opening reception will take place on Feb. 4, from 4-7 p.m.
